Hardware components consists of IC Tester hardware, resources, test structure and load board, whereas software components include integrated development environment, digital pattern and test program generation.

Learning Outcome

Upon completion of this programme, the trainees will be able to:

  • Understand a fundamental principles and concepts related to IC testing.
  • Familiarize with different types of test equipment used in IC testing, such as automated test equipment (ATE), probe stations, handlers, and other specialized tools as well as to operate and troubleshoot these tools effectively.
  • Develop test programs or test sequences for ICs using specific programming languages or software tools.
  • Explore various testing methodologies used in IC testing, such as functional testing, parametric testing, and reliability testing.
  • Develop expertise in diagnosing IC faults, performing root cause analysis, ensuring testing reliability, and optimizing test time.
  • Gain knowledge of statistical analysis techniques applied in IC testing, including yield analysis, data interpretation, and yield optimization strategies.
  • Understand the importance of proper test data management and documentation by organizing and analyzing test data, creating reports, and maintaining comprehensive records.
Entry Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent.
