Certificate in Aerospace Sheet Metal

The programme consist of two part :

• Theory Class at CENTEXS Lundu
• Practical Class at Subang

Upon completion of this programme, the trainee will be able to:

• Familiarize and understand basic elements of aviation-related situations or characteristic knowledge of scientific principles, basics of aerodynamics and aircraft structure.
• Understand the criticality of cleaning and checking loose articles to ensure the final product is safe and airworthy.
• Comply with all shop safety procedures and environmental regulations. Recognize and safely use structure assembly hand and power tools.
• Acquire skills of all the tools and associated structural fabrication, assembling and standard repair processes that are similar in aircraft hangars, sheet metal workshops and aerospace production plants.
• Demonstrate the use, interpret and apply appropriate documentation including structural repair manual, technical drawing, engineering order, airworthiness directive, technical procedure and technical instruction.
• Performs defect inspection, damage assessment and sheet metal fabrication process on structural sheet metal and aircraft part
• Carry out the assembly process of sheet metal on aircraft parts in the production plant.

• SPM with preferably passed in English, Mathematics and Science subjects or equivalent.
• All candidates must be physically and mentally fit and do not have any visual (blind/colour blind), hearing or physical disabilities.
