Certificate In Robot Operating System (ROS) 2 – Mobile Robot Navigation (NAV2) is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of ROS (Robot Operating System) through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Participants are encouraged to delve deeper into the subject matter with full-scale application demos, which vividly illustrate the complexities and nuances of real-world ROS applications. Additionally, the program includes advanced modules that concentrate on specific ROS tools and capabilities.
Upon completion of this programme, the trainees will be able to:
- Master ROS concepts such as nodes, topics, messages, services, and actions, along with proficiency in ROS package management and deployment strategies.
- Develop advanced programming skills, robust ROS nodes and applications using both C++ and Python, including debugging, optimization, and integration with robotic hardware
- Apply advanced ROS tools like MoveIt for motion planning, navigation stacks for autonomous navigation, and ROS Control for hardware interfacing and control.
- Identify and solve challenges in ROS applications, optimize performance, and ensure robustness and reliability in real-world scenarios.
- Apply skill in documenting ROS projects effectively, collaborating with teams using version control (e.g., Git), and participating in open-source robotics communities.
- Bachelor Degree in any field or Equivalent, and
- Programming skills in C++ / Python including object-oriented programming, debugging, and optimization
